Stepping Stone is a unique boat that has been used for continuously cruising. She is well equipped and very functional.
Saloon: Entrance from the stern, A light-filled saloon with large arched windows and a roof box. On the starboard side, a freestanding sofa bed provides an additional double berth. A built-in desk/workstation is positioned against the stern bulkhead. The Hobbit solid fuel stove is located behind the Pullman dinette, separating the saloon from the galley. The dinette offers comfortable dining space, with raised seating for good visibility through the adjacent windows, and converts into a double berth.
Galley: Forward of the saloon on the port side, the U-shaped galley is compact and functional. Solid oak worktops incorporate a stainless steel sink and a four-burner hob by Thetford, with a matching Thetford oven and grill below. There are bespoke storage units, a 12v fridge, and shelving mounted to the bathroom bulkhead.
Wet Room: Moving forward, the wet room makes efficient use of space. It includes a thermostatic shower mixer, a ceramic hand basin mounted on the galley bulkhead, a macerating pump-out toilet opposite, and a towel rail.
Bedroom: At the bow, the berth arrangement can be configured as a double or separated into two single beds. Above are the front doors, roof hatch, and ladder for access. A full-height, doorless wardrobe on the bathroom bulkhead provides hanging space and shelving, with a low-level cupboard to the side.
Exterior: Built as a Dutch barge narrowboat replica the exterior of Stepping Stone is very unique. The stern is separated into two areas, the uncovered stern deck and covered deck. The uncovered deck has the gas lockers and access to the engine room, the covered deck is the cruising position and is home to the steering wheel and engine controls along with more access to the engine. The bow is open and provides some storge and seating.
